The Digital Pro (James Canterbury) has spent the last 25 years training consumers, and retail sales staff on digital cameras, and photo techniques.
When he began his consulting business it became apparent very early on that the level of frustration with digital cameras users was higher than expected.
If the training sessions where going to be successful he needed to find out what was causing so much confusion. This is why he began using the before and after class questionnaires in all of his work shops.
After reviewing evaluations given before, and after the classes the results were very constant in these key areas:
Software packaged with the Digital Cameras lack what the average user needs.Instructions presume that the user is a computer, and camera expert.What the user needs is directions on how to use the whole package: camera, computer, and color printer.
